Hi there,
I’ve almost finished with all the media work, which has taken up a large part of my time since I got back. This evening in the Thalassa programme on France 3 TV, there will be a feature about my adventure, which should mark the end of this chapter.
I haven’t completely abandoned Adrien, as Bruno is removing the sails and everything that needs to be repaired. The manufacturers would like to know how their products stood up to the sailing conditions that I encountered.
I’m planning to order some new sails in Cuben Fiber, which will be identical to those that equipped Adrien in 2002 and which I was really happy with.
There were warm celebrations for me yesterday in Amiens. I was invited by Gilles de Robien and the mayors of all the districts in the metropolitan authority, and also met the schoolchildren, who followed my trip around the world.
For the moment, I’m working on the editing of the film, which will be the basis for my conference talks, and I’m currently having discussions about publishing a book. As you can see, I don’t have time to get bored.
Once I get rid of all the spam that’s filling up my inbox, I have around 1230 messages of congratulations. Allowing for two minutes per e-mail, it would take me 41 hours to reply to them all. I’d therefore like to take advantage of this log to thank all the web users, who sent me these messages, which I was really pleased to receive.
My technical report is still not finished. It will soon be done and you will be the first to receive it.
I’ll get back to you next week.
